Dudley Janeke

Graduated from the University of the Western Cape with a BSc (Education) and BSc Honours degree. He establishing his own environmental practice in 1997, and has gained considerable experience over the past 18 years, in the field of Integrated Environmental Management. This includes experience in environmental impact assessments, site management, public participation management and community development. Mr Janeke also gained excellent project management skills due to his experience in managing multi-disciplinary professional teams. He was one of the first black South Africans on the International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA) and served on the Western Cape Board for IAIA during 1996/7. Since then he has been affiliated to IAIA, and has also successfully undertaken Environmental Impact Assessments in the Seychelles, where he has been exposed to international benchmarking. More recently, he has been driving a number of renewable energy projects both in the Western and Northern Cape.He has also been involved in several policy development projects, e.g Guidelines for the establishment of Golf courses and Polo Fields in the Western Cape, Feasibility study for Norms and Standards as an alternative to EIA’s and Guidelines for developments beyond urban edges.

He graduated from the University of the Western Cape with a MSc degree and a Higher Diploma in Education P/G. Is registered as a Professional Natural Scientist at the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions. He also completed a course in Environmental Impact Assessments and Strategic Environmental Assessment hosted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research at the University of Stellenbosch. Quinton has worked in the public facilitation field; served as an Environmental Control Officer, has completed Environmental Impact Assessments processes for number of Residential developments in the Western Cape; Northern Cape and Internationally on the Banyan development in the Seychelles.Quinton showed a keen interest in renewable energy and attended a seminar on renewable energies that was hosted by the Bavarian Government in Germany during 2008.
